JELLIFF Alloy C/O/J, with a resistivity 30% higher than any other alloy available, literally creates a new range of miniaturization for precision fixed and variable resistors. For a given volume, wire wound resistors can be one-fourth smaller, or one-third more resistance can be wound into a given volume than with 800 ohm alloys. Jelliff Alloy C/O/J exhibits a flat T/C curve of ±5 ppm over the temperature range of -55°C to 25°C and 25°C to 150°C. JELLIFF Alloy 45 is produced with a temperature coefficient of resistance within ± 20 ppm over the temperature range from -55° to +150°C. Consequently, it is used with exceptionally good results in the winding of precision resistors, in electrical measuring and testing instruments, radio, electronic equipment and heavy-duty industrial rheostats. Jelliff Alloy 45 is also used for controlling devices, voltmeter windings, heating pads, and low-temperature heaters.

It has a T/C of ±5 ppm, low thermal e.m.f. vs. copper, excellent stability and corrosion resistance, low electrical noise properties, good welding and soldering properties. It is available in diameters from 0.0056" to 0.0005", bare and insulated.

These heating alloys, for operating temperatures up to 1200°C (2200°F), are highly resistant to oxidation and are relatively unaffected by sulfur compounds.
